Immediately upon arrival, remove sedums from the plastic bags and loosen the boxes to allow more air flow.
Put boxes in a cool, dark place. If temperature is above 55 degrees, spray plants with water. Plants should not be soaking wet
or submerged in water.

Fertilizing Recommendations
First Year until established
Slow release fertilizer should be applied at the time of planting. The correct amount of fertilizer is very important.
Over fertilization will damage the plants and the amount will depend on the soil depth, plant spacing, and season.
We can assist in making recommendations.
After the first year
Many Green Roofs will not need to be fertilized after they are established. This will need to be decided on a
case-by-case basis. We can assist in making recommendations.
Weeding
First Year until established
Green Roofs should be checked for weeds once every two weeks from April thru November. From
December to March, check for weeds once every four weeks. Weeds should be manually pulled if possible.
Herbicides may damage the plants and should only be used after careful site analysis.
After the first year
Green Roofs should be checked for weeds once every two months until complete coverage is reached.
After that, check for weeds twice per year. Weeds should be manually pulled if possible. Herbicides may
damage the plants and should only be used after careful site analysis.
